The Green Book Magazine was a monthly theater publication featuring photographs of stage actors, actresses, playwrights, and illustrated fiction. Some of the illustrators and cartoonists included Herbert Morton Stoops, James Montgomery Flagg, Charles Lederer, Dean Cornwell, Herb Roth, William Donahey, Frank Godwin, Ray Rohn, Rea Irvin, Fontaine Fox, R.F. James, Frank King, and B. Cory Kilvert. The 1916 issues stand out because several featured photographs and/or caricatures of the illustrators and cartoonists.

The February, March and April 1916 issues had the following cartoonists and illustrators: T.A. Dorgan, James Montgomery Flagg, Hal Coffman, L.D. Bradley, J.H. Donahey, George McManus, R.L. Goldberg, D.R. Fitzpatrick, R.D. Handy, Robert W. Satterfield, Harry Hershfield, and W.A. Rogers.
